ATHLETES UNITED FOR YOUTH EDUCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
While the majority of young people in the Charlotte region successfully negotiate study and careers, some young people confront barriers that prevent them from achieving their best.
AUFY intends to help break down some of these barriers youth experience, by offering assistance to young people who have determination, aptitude and skill in a chosen field or pathway and give them the assistance and support that they need to achieve success through our Educational Scholarship Program.
Who will benefit from the scholarship program?
AUFY’s Educational Scholarship Program targets senior student athletes who are on track to graduate, need financial assistance and who are permanent residents of the Charlotte region. (Note: there are specific criteria guidelines for scholarship assistance – see attached form).
AUFY’s vision of the Educational Scholarship Program is to bring together combined resources, encourage corporate social responsibility and engage the community to take responsibility for investing in our youth and their future. This financial assistance will help youth pursue further education or training so they may realize their potential for a positive future.
Nominations
Nominations for the Education Scholarship Program are not restricted to a specific study or training path. Nominations are invited from young people with genuine talent, ability and determination in any field, including but not limited to): education and training; visual or performing arts; sport; trade skills; and music.
